Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long should I charge Bigfoot’s battery for?
Bigfoot’s battery should be charged for 4 hours.
Charging Instructions:
- The LED light on the charger will remain red for 4 continuous hours after being plugged in.
- After 4 hours the LED will turn green.
Please Note: If the charger is unplugged after this time and plugged back in, the LED will turn red again for 4 hours even though the battery is fully charged. The LED is not an indicator as to whether the battery is fully charged.
- I cannot get Bigfoot to hold or throw the ball, what should I do? Rotate Bigfoots elbow towards the back of the body for the thumb to latch onto the ball. Do not pull the hand down or forward to give Bigfoot the ball. Once the ball is placed in Bigfoot’s hand correctly, press the ball button on the remote.

My Bigfoot Keeps falling over, what should I do?
If Bigfoot keeps falling over, make sure he is on solid ground (medium pile carpet or hard flooring). Not recommended for outdoor use.
Bigfoot has a Position Switch that can detect if he is not in the correct position (falls over) and will automatically reposition himself by standing. If the issue persists, contact us for further assistance.
-
Can I use 2 Bigfoots at the same time?
All Bigfoots use the same signal. You can not operate 2 different Bigfoots at once. They will both be controlled by the same remote.
- Bigfoot is not responding to all of the remote buttons I select. Bigfoot needs to finish a sequence before starting a new sequence. If a sequence is interrupted, Bigfoot will say ‘hey’ or ‘huh’. Wait until the sequence is complete and then try hitting a command again.
-
I was playing with Bigfoot and he just stopped working, what should I do?
If Bigfoot stops working, check the following
- Motor Stall – Was there any audible beeps from Bigfoot before he shut down: If audible beeps came from Bigfoot, a motor has stalled.
- 1-Beep = arm motors stall
- 2-Beeps = leg motor stall
- 3-Beeps = head motor stall
To Fix the Motor stall:
- Remove any obstruction from Bigfoot’s path.
- Turn the product off and then back on to restart the product.
- If this stall condition continues to happen when no obstruction is present, there is a malfunction with Bigfoot. Please contact Consumer Relations.
- Low Battery - Did Bigfoot say ‘Low battery’ before he stopped.
- If the battery is low, Bigfoot will say ‘low battery’, and the battery pack needs to be charged.

What are the best kind of batteries to use in Fisher-Price® and Mattel® products?
A. We recommend using alkaline batteries with our products, as they are great for long-term use and help optimize performance. We don't recommend using Carbon-Zinc batteries. While Carbon-Zinc batteries may work well with low-power devices, they can drain after a short period of time and cause certain products to not function properly.
