Product Desciption:
At the quarry, Merrick is swinging cargo high above the tracks.
Down below, Thomas and Luke are busy chuffing around the rock crusher, where boulders are broken into smaller stones.
Most days, Merrick can be found snoring away at the Blue Mountain Quarry, but when there's a job to do, this sleepy crane is wide-awake and ready to load the heaviest boulders!
His crane cable extends to attach a load and contracts to lift it up—then he pivots to place it in a cargo car.
Use a favorite engine to take boulders to the rock crusher to be smashed to smithereens!
Shift the lever up and down for rock-crushing action.

What type of wood do you use in Thomas Wooden Railway products?
We use beech and medium density fiberboard (engineered wood product) for our Thomas Wooden Railway products.

Why won't my wooden engine fit under all bridges and tunnels?
Some vehicles with tall profiles or special large cargo may not fit under the bridges or through tunnels.

How can I determine the length of a Thomas Wooden Railway straight track?
The Thomas Wooden Railway straight track pieces are measured for the distance between the flat edges. The connector tabs are not included in the measurements.
There are also railroad ties etched on each piece that are spaced an inch apart. The consumer can count how many sets of “lines” or ties there are on the piece to determine the length, without including the connector.

We thought it would be helpful to let you know that we include a small amount of plastic on some of our wooden products to further ensure their improved strength.

What are the best kind of batteries to use in Fisher-Price® and Mattel® products?
A. We recommend using alkaline batteries with our products, as they are great for long-term use and help optimize performance. We don't recommend using Carbon-Zinc batteries. While Carbon-Zinc batteries may work well with low-power devices, they can drain after a short period of time and cause certain products to not function properly.
