The Easy-Link Internet Launchpad makes it easy for kids to visit preschool-appropriate websites to play online games! It connects easily to your computer via USB and when kids plug a character figure into the Easy-Link Internet Launchpad they are taken directly to that character’s website. (i.e. Plug in the Elmo figure and kids are taken directly to the games section of sesamestreet.com) Once a character is plugged in, kids are ONLY allowed to visit pages on that website until they plug in a different character, keeping them away from unsafe websites and from getting into your computer’s files. Kids play the online games on the different websites by using your computer’s current mouse and the arrow keys on the Easy-Link Internet Launchpad. 3 easy-link figures included: Mickey, Pooh and Jo-Jo. (Additional Easy-Link figures sold separately) When parents want to go back to normal computer use, they can enter a passcode to turn the Easy-Link off.

- What are the best kind of batteries to use in Fisher-Price® and Mattel® products?
  A. We recommend using alkaline batteries with our products, as they are great for long-term use and help optimize performance. We don't recommend using Carbon-Zinc batteries. While Carbon-Zinc batteries may work well with low-power devices, they can drain after a short period of time and cause certain products to not function properly.
Easy Link™ Product Usage
- How do I update the Easy Link® software?
  For best performance, be sure to keep your software updated. When an update is available, a message will pop up on your screen when you launch the software. Click to download the update.
  
  If you have “Firewall” software installed, you may receive alert messages when you use the Easy Link® software. The software is designed to restrict child access to Internet websites, your desktop and hard drive. Click “allow” when prompted to let Easy Link® software function.
- How can I obtain a replacement Easy Link® manual?
  Manuals are available from Service.Mattel.com. Search for the Easy Link® product by name or product number.
- I forgot the password for my Easy Link®?
  You will be given a hint when a wrong password is entered. If you still can’t remember your password enter “fisher-price.”
- How do I take care of the Easy Link®?
  - Keep water, sand and dirt off of the toy.
  - Wipe the toy with a soft, clean cloth.
  - Do not immerse this toy in water.
  - This toy has no consumer serviceable parts. Please do not take this toy apart.
  - Do not drop this toy on a hard surface.
- How do I navigate with the keys on the Easy Link® base?
  The Easylink® connects to many different websites. Some games allow the user to use the directional keys while others require the mouse.
- Is the Light Bulb in my Easy Link® replaceable?
  No, the light bulb in the Easy Link® is not replaceable.
Easy Link™ Errors
- I have a 1603 Fatal Disk Error when installing the Easy Link® software. How can I fix it?
  There are two sources of this error message:
  1. Check to make sure you are logged in as the administrator.
  2. Check to make sure you have enough hard drive space to install the software.
    - Easy Link® Product requires 100 MB of hard drive space to install.
- I have a Run Time Error 1607 and 1628 when installing the Easy Link® software. How can I fix it?
  The Run Time Error 1607 and 1628 are caused by the Installshield software used to install the Easy Link® Product. There is a full walk thru of the action needed to correct the problems in the “Common Errors” section of http://consumer.installshield.com/default.asp.
- I receive a Just in Time or JIT error. How can I correct this?
  Follow these steps:
  
  Internet Explorer 6;
  - Select Tools.
  - Then Internet Options
  - Select Advanced from the menu.
  Internet Explorer 7:
  - Press the "ALT" key to reveal the tool bar and menus.
  - Select Tools.
  - Then Internet Options.
  - Then Advanced from the menu.
  In the advanced options select the following:
  - Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
  - Disable Script Debugging (Other)
  Click ok, reboot the computer and check to see if the problem has been resolved.
  
  If this does not address the issue you may need will need to run Microsoft® update and make sure you check the "Software Updates" that are available, not just the critical updates. Download and install ALL updates relating to the .NET Frame work.
- I receive a cannot connect to website error when I place a FOB into my Easy Link® base, what does this mean?
  The cannot connect to a website error occurs when a firewall is blocking the Easy Link® software internet connection. Adjust your firewall settings so Easy Link® is an allowed application. You will need to contact your security provider for directions.
